eBay has certified iPhoneAppLab’s “iPhoneMyeBay” iPhone-optimized Web app for use with its services. In the words of the developer:

“eBay has put the application through rigorous QA testing and said that it meets it qualifications for working with eBay APIs and providing users of the applications all the benefits available.”

Most importantly, however, this means that users can now actually bid on eBay items through the Web app. The bidding words on all auction types, and you can use a regular bid or “Buy It Now.”

While Photogene offers a lot to like, there’s still room for improvement. We outline the pros and cons in this First Look video.

We’ve long been fans of Photogene, a $2.99 image editor for iPhone and iPod Touch that faces heavy rivalry from apps like the free Photoshop Mobile for iPhone. We figured it’s time to take a closer look.

Feedback? info@iphoneatlas.com.

We gave the service a quick test run, and it work fairly well if a bit awkwardly at first. After signing up at pxPipe.com, you’re prompted to login to your Facebook account. After that, a special email adddress (@pxpipe.com) will be created. Any photos emailed to this account will show up in your Facebook account. It’s best to add this email address to your iPhone’s contacts list, after which you can simply tap on the share button in the lower left corner of the Camera or Photos applications, select the newly added email address and send away.

pxPipe.com is a new photo uploading service for the iPhone with the primary purpose of allowing users to upload photos directly from the device to their Facebook accounts — a functionality omission in Facbook’s otherwise superb iPhone-optimized site, detailed last week.

Like indie films? Documentaries? Animation? Ho, boy, have I got an app for you: NFB Films lets you watch over a thousand movies on your iPhone. For free.

NFB Films includes a Channels section where you can browse various categories, including Documentaries, Kids Cartoons, History

NFB Films streams over 1,000 shorts and feature-length films to your iPhone.

The “NFB” stands for National Film Board, a kind of Canadian PBS. The app taps the NFB’s mammoth library of documentaries, animated films, trailers (for upcoming NFB releases), and more.

All the movies are streamed to your iPhone, but there’s also an ingenious “watch later” option that downloads a selected movie for later viewing. However, these downloads expire after 24 hours, not unlike App Store movie rentals, but that hardly seems unfair.
